Advertising robot An9-PR


The new advertising robot An9-PR designed by a Japanese Company ALSOK has gone on sale this week. It has features such as a 360 degrees electronic billboard, three LCD touch screens, voice announcement system to advertise products, face recognition system, wireless conectivity which also enables mobile phone communication, location awareness, smart card reader at hands. The robot can be remotely updated from a PC in order to display new information. It can also be put in the telepresence robots category, which is starting to find a large variety of applications. To do this the robot has remote video and voice communication. The price for the unit is is set at $110,000. May be a little too expensive for now for many locations, however the ever decreasing cost of robotic applications and software may bring it down soon…
